I started printmaking in 2013 after a career in teaching and as a Board Room executive. I divide my time between London, Rye, East Sussex and Tuscany, where I have a second home. It is from these locations that I draw inspiration and this can start with a thought, a concept, a memory or something that catches my eye.
I do not wish to capture the literal likeness of reality but rather the essence of the subject. Many of my stylised landscapes reflect my love of the Tuscan countryside. I experiment with different forms, subjects and techniques and this makes my work very varied which I think reflects my energy and the fact that I am interested in everything.
